General-Rules
General Rules
Rules and guidelines for students, parents and guardians to maintain discipline, safety and a positive learning environment within the school community.
At the beginning of each session, if a student is absent for the first three days without leave or prior information, his/her name may be struck off from the School Scholar Register. Re-admission may be considered only if a vacancy exists.
All students must report to school at the prescribed reporting time.
The school authorities will not be responsible for children after school hours outside the school campus.
The school does not provide any transport facility for commuting to and from the school. Parents must ensure that the mode of transport selected for their ward does not carry children beyond its capacity, is safe and follows applicable traffic rules. The school will not be responsible for any mishap outside the school premises.
Parents/Guardians are requested to sign the following:
The notices sent out periodically.
The assignments given to the children for homework.
Exercise books in which the work has been assessed.
In all correspondence with the school, the name, class and section of the child must be stated clearly. Parents/Guardians must write their name and contact number below their signature.
Tuitions are not promoted by the school. However, parents who want their wards to take extra classes from school teachers may do so only after obtaining written permission from the Principal. Such permission will only be given for students scoring less than 60% marks in a particular subject. All tuitions must stop at least 7 days before examinations in all classes. No teacher will take any new tuition after the second term tests, from December onwards.
All parents/guardians must ensure that their children have prepared their lessons well and completed their homework, if any, before coming to school.
Parents/Guardians must check the school diary regularly for any reports made by teachers. Any such reports must be signed by them.
Students must not damage school property. Writing on walls or furniture is prohibited and students may be fined for such damage. Throwing ink or paint is a punishable offence. Whiteners and staplers are banned in school.
Festival colours, firecrackers, mobile phones, digital gadgets and anything that may cause injury are strictly prohibited. Carrying such items on the school campus is a punishable offence.
All parents/guardians must obtain a permission slip from the school office before meeting any staff member during school hours.
Once a child enters the school campus, the child will not be sent back home for any reason before the school closing time, except as permitted by the school authorities.
Parents must ensure that their ward(s) are punctual to school. Two late comings in a month are exempted. From the third late coming, the ward(s) will be marked absent and will be sent back home.
Parents may meet teachers to discuss their ward(s)' behaviour or academic performance for one hour after school on any working Saturday. Parents are requested to meet the teachers at least once every month.
No re-test/re-examination will be conducted due to any reason.
Minimum 80% attendance is compulsory to appear in the examination/term test.
A student will be marked zero if he or she is absent in any test or examination. Submission of a medical certificate in the final examination does not guarantee promotion to the next class.
